Chain Piecing

When I started quilting, I'd heard about chain piecing, but didn't really "get" the value of it.  In the first quilt I made, there were parts that could have been chain pieced, but I didn't know how.  The next several quilts were too random to chain piece.  Even Liam's quilt last year could have been chain pieced and I might actually have done a few squares that way.  I don't remember.

It wasn't until I started doing triangles that I really discovered the value and efficiency of chain piecing.  So simple to just keep going and going.  

The next quilt that I plan to "cut" for takes this efficiency thing one step further with strip piecing.  I know I don't need a new project, but it's so much fun to start new things.
