iPad Mini Case II

Not only did Jordan get a new iPad mini, but I recently got one, too.

Actually, I received it on Christmas Eve.  We had ordered it from Apple and it arrived a bit early.  Unfortunately, the one we received was scratched. Jordan ran over the Apple Store (the physical one) and was able to exchange it for another one.  That one was scratched, too!  So he got a third one.  Third time’s a charm!

Well, my little iPad needed a case, too.  I used this tutorial from One Shabby Chick.  Her tutorials are awesome!

The color on this isn’t right . . . should be more aqua.

I, of course, had to scale the tutorial down to the mini.  My measurements were 7.5 x 10 (0.5″ larger for the outer pieces then cut down to size).  My flap measurement was simply by feel and happened to be a piece I had left over.  It measured 4.5 x 4.75 before sewing.

The fabrics were what I had on hand.  I kinda wish I’d chosen something different, but it works for now.  I’d originally picked out a fabric that had too much going on, a park scene.  Now, it seems that this fabric is too basic.  Maybe next time I’ll find something in between.

For now, the iPad is protected when I need it to be!
