Life & Play Spaces

Life gets in the way of crafting and blogging.  Some of it good, some of it just necessary business.  I'm looking forward to resting, although I'm not sure when that will happen, seeing as how my 18-month old wakes up around 6am every morning!

As Liam gets older, I've been more and more intersted in creating spaces for him throughout our home.  Our home is not big (1200 ft2), so it's been difficult.  Plus, we tend to inherit our furniture, not buy what fits for us.  It's free, which is good, but often times larger than what we need.

We recently rearranged our living room to give Liam his own area.  We didn't really use the television, so that and the T.V. cabinet were taken away.  What we had left, we turned perpendicular to the wall, to create more of a nook for him.  Eventually, I'd like to fill the bookshelf with art supplies, but since he still eats crayons and playdough, we'll wait awhile before we give him free access to those things!

It's been a good space for him and (somewhat) contains his toys.  He still gets into all of our things, though. So, really, the whole house is his play area!
