Oliver David made his debut

Just a quick post to say that Oliver is here!  It's actually been a week since he was born.  It took me that long to transfer photos from my camera.  I find that I'm not taking enough pictures, though.  I'll have to pull out my camera more often in the coming months.

Oliver was born on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 7:14 p.m.  He was 8 lbs. 15 oz and 21 in. long.  Liam was the same length and 2 oz heavier.  Other than their height and weight, their features are quite different.  It will be fun to see how alike and different they are as they grow older.

Oliver is adjusting to life on the outside.  He's sleeping well at night; however he does have a period during the afternoon or evening where he won't stay asleep for more than 20-30 minutes at a time, waking up and not going back to sleep.  He gets overtired and it's a battle to get him to really fall asleep.  Other than that, he's a very good baby.

It may be a while before I make regular posts (not that I have been making them regularly as of yet!).

Perspectives Block Tutorial

Create a beautiful illusion with this perspectives block. When the blocks are put together circles appear, but there are no curved seams. The block utilizes two different size triangles to create this illusion. The tutorial is a FREE download! #quiltblock #perspectivesblock
