Liam broke my “p”
If I miss a few "p's", you'll know why. I can't seem to type as fast as I have to hit the rubber thing just right. Silly kid got his finger under the key and popped it out, breaking one of the prongs. We have a couple on order that should be here in a week or so. Luckily, the "p" is a little used letter.
Mind your "P's and Q's". Where did that come from, anyway? Does anyone say it anymore? I've heard it a few times and always wonder what's a P and what's a Q?
Sometimes I'm just appalled at people's manners or the lack there of. Now, I'm not the nicest person by a far stretch. Most of it is unintentional or maybe because I'm looking for the quickest or easiest route and have a different focus. I generally don't go out of my way to be nice to people, but I'm not intentionally rude. When someone is rude to me, I don't quite know what to do. It takes me a little while to process it and figure out a correct response.
I was in Joanne's the other day buying some Kona. I went up to take a ticket for their cutting area. Someone near the cutting area said, "We're just standing here" meaning that they hadn't taken a ticket and were waiting in line. I asked the woman cutting, "Oh, are you not doing tickets right now?" She said that they were and then the person said, "Well then, I guess you're number two!" which was the next number. Just the tone of it was so off. I didn't quite know how to respond, so I didn't. It's one of those things where I didn't want to just say anything because the person was so off.
I think I need to work on not being more aware of my words and actions and how others perceive me. Something to think about.
