It’s been a long time

Since I’ve blogged here.  Or blogged about crafting at all.  I’ve been putting all my creative juices into a new side business and blog.  If you’re a teacher or know a teacher, go check it out.  If not, keep reading.

The past year I have been engrossed in this side business so much so that it’s kinda taken over my extra time in life, so that I’m not crafting much any more.

However, during our holiday break the past two weeks, I had a bit of extra time and decided to devote it to some craftiness.

I made four bean bag chairs.  Two for my niece and nephew and two for our boys.

I decided to take out my bedroom quilt and remove the extra layer of batting.  Why I ever thought two layers of batting on a queen / king size quilt was a good idea is beyond me.  It was way too heavy.

I’m in the process of re-quilting it.

I also got an early birthday / Christmas present and have been having fun experimenting with it.

I’m not sure if I’m really going to come back to this blog, but I’ll post every once in a while.  I still read some quilting blogs and am drawn back into this world from all the beautiful quilts and blocks I see.
