Vacation

We're going a week-long vacation to Mexico in a week.  I'm looking forward to it, but in a way, it's bittersweet.  I enjoy staying home and working on home projects.  My down-time right now consists of me sitting in front of my sewing machine.  It's not coming with me on our vacation.  In fact, it's going on it's own vacation to get serviced.

In the mean time, I have to turn to my other, more mobile craft and figure out what I want to take.  I feel as if I haven't knitted in a long time.  I'm still working on Liam's sweater, which I'll take, and my Solaris sleeves, which I'll take (maybe).  But what else?  I need a larger project.  In the past I would have taken socks, but I'm just not that into knitting socks these days.

I don't have much inspiration for knitted items right now.  I may knit another Featherweight Cardigan.  I liked that pattern.  Or maybe another February Lady Sweater but with long sleeves and no lace.  I'm not normally one to do something twice, though.  Plus, I'd need new yarn.  I need to figure out something to do with stash yarn.  Or maybe sell it to get some new yarns.  Hmm . . . that's an idea.

The again, I really like my Shalom.  Maybe I should do another one of those and make it with long sleeves.  That's what I'm leaning toward at this point.]

A trip to the yarn store is in order, me thinks.
